Jednom mi se ovo dogodilo. Ne baš tako davno. Asusova ploča. Asus UEFI BIOS Utility. Kao ovdje
*. Windows XPSP3.
Press any key to boot from CD… onda me netko nazvao pa je trebalo ić ća… Ctrl-Alt-Del… preskočen Boot from CD… tipkovnica radi.
Zove me dijak s istim problemom. Isti BIOS. Isti OS.
Repair Install.
Međupokušaji.
USB Legacy Support?
»In USB terms, this is USB device support built into, or specific to, a particular computer system. Legacy mode support is inherent to a system and is typically provided by legacy hardware interface emulation.
Legacy mode support allows devices to function in an operating environment that is not USB-aware. For example, legacy mode support for a USB keyboard and mouse resides in the system BIOS and presents the keyboard and mouse data via the port 60h/64h/IRQ1/IRQ12 interface.«

»Windows sets the USB host controller to legacy support mode during the shutdown process, but cannot restore the BIOS-designated resource settings. If the current input/output (I/O) port settings differ from the BIOS settings, the device is inaccessible and causes the computer to hang.«
*Svjestan?
»This problem may occur if you have both USB 2.0 devices and USB 1.1 FDD devices connected to a Windows XP SP1-based computer. Because Windows XP SP1 does not support the USB 2.0 Legacy BIOS, the USB 1.1 device driver does not work correctly.
Plavi - USB 3. Uštekat u crni.
3. Hoće li radit Clipper aplikacija u DOS prozoru?
»Typically "Legacy Support" means providing a translation for DOS or bootable utilities to use USB keyboards and mice, so those programs think they are working with the older PS/2 keyboards and mice there were designed to work with.«
*4. »Windows loads drivers in a specific order, sometimes that order gets mixed up for whatever reason (haven't figured that part out yet). obviously mouse and keyboard would be first. But *things* happen.
What I did was I unplugged the mouse and left only the keyboard, monitor, and power cord connected to the machine; then I booted the machine. The keyboard loaded. I then plugged in the mouse (USB) and used the keyboard to go through the "New Hardware" installation wizard.«
*5. »I updated my Intel chipset drivers and now my mouse and keyboard are working fine.«
6. Svašta.
»I left it on the login screen for approx. 1 hour and on my return the mouse and keyboard were working. On restarting the computer I was able to login as normal.«
*7. »Copy Folders from a clean install of
"C:\Windows\Inf" (It's Hidden)
"C:\Windows\System32\drivers"
Personally I use a bootable Linux distro… and then copied them from a clean install to the affected system.
Browse to the folder C:\Windows\inf and find the file INFCACHE.1
Rename the file INFCACHE.1 to INFCACHE.1.BAK. …«
*Kad i ako se riješi — zapisat. Ovdje.
